Allen & Heath iDR Software Manager Version 3.3

www.allen-heath.com

Allen & Heath iDR Software Manager Version 3.3 has been developed to support the company’s iDR-4 signal processor and PL-9 “hub” unit. It offers a familiar Windows-style application and navigation, including copy, paste and save functions between presets and DSP devices.

Version 3.3 provides the facility for custom SysNet and MIDI strings to be programmed into patch settings, triggering the operation of Sys Net or MIDI compatible equipment such as a CD player, lighting or effects unit, when a patch is recalled.

Similarly, soft LEDs and logic outputs can now be controlled by level sensing within a channel. The software also enables functions such as inter-iDR paging and patch recall to be controlled across the network in larger installations involving more than one iDR system.

Community SH462 Horn System

www.loudspeakers.net

The Community SH462 horn system is primarily designed for voice alert systems, large public gatherings, industrial paging and other applications requiring focused, stand-alone voice-range sound reinforcement. It includes four ferrofluid-cooled M200A 2-inch-exit compression drivers mounted within a handcrafted, one-piece 60-degree by 20-degree Focused Array waveguide horn.

The laminated horn section is designed with layering and integral throat and driver flange construction.

The design prevents unwanted energy loss while also providing weather-resistant qualities. Within each compression driver, a front-facing diaphragm has been conjoined with the suspension, forming a one-piece unit providing isolation from the elements while also protecting against dust, humidity and corrosive conditions.

Frequency response is 400 Hz to 8 kHz at 8 ohms. Maximum output is rated at 143 dB SPL, 150 dB SPL peak. At 1 watt/1meter, sensitivity is rated at 118 dB SPL between 600 Hz and 4 kHz in 1/3-octave bands.

Lowell Rack-Mount Sequencers

www.lowellmfg.com

Lowell SCS-4R and SCS-8R rack-mount sequencers provide time-delayed on/off control of components linked to the company’s RPC remote power controls.

Each occupying 1U, the SCS-4R is equipped with four outputs, while the SCS-8R comes with eight.

Either unit’s outputs can trigger a response on equipment connected to a maximum of 10 RPC devices, and are additionally outfitted with separate auxiliary relay contacts for sequencing the operation of other individual components or even entire racks of gear.

Other features found on both sequencers include variable time delay, front-panel LED status indicators, a UL-listed power supply, and rocker or key-switch activation. Optional switches can also be used to activate either sequencer from remote locations. Lowell’s UL-listed RPC remote power controls offer low-voltage command of AC power distribution from remote distances.
