A New Day at the Colosseum
A look at the system for Celine Dion's new production at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas

The 4,000-seat Colosseum The-ater at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas just opened at a cost of $95 million, tailored for Celine Dion's “A New Day...” directed by Franco Dragone.

Sound Designer Denis Savage specified a 5.1 surround system installed by Audio Analysts.

Clockwise from top/left: Monitor Engineer Daniel Baron at his two Yamaha PM1D digital consoles; Meyer Sound M3D and M2D line arrays as mains above the stage; the heart of the custom SSL FOH console tailored for the show; more than 100 channels of Sennheiser UHF wireless; Savage at "home" at the custom SSL; Meyer SB2 Sound Beam loudspeakers to cover tough-to-reach areas; plenty of BSS Soundweb processing; and a view of the theater.
