Peavey Feedback Ferret II
www.peavey.com
|

|
 |
The Peavey Feedback Ferret II eliminates feedback in stereo via
its 16 filters on each of two channels. The user can also switch
into dual mono mode, essentially creating two separate Feedback
Ferrets in a single unit for a total of 32 filters.
|
The unit includes the features of the original, including dynamic digital
filters that pin down problem frequencies, four user presets, power-up
recall, panic filters for sudden, unexpected feedback, XLR and 1/4-inch
TRS balanced I/Os and an internal power supply.
The Feedback Ferret II applies a narrow notch filter on specific problem
frequencies to eliminate feedback. The device continuously checks and
rechecks the designated problem frequencies and then releases the filter
when it no longer detects feedback. This design allows application of
the correct amount of filtration and helps to insure that sound will not
become muddied.

and live sound applications. Rear-panel connections include 24-bit S/PDIF
digital I/O, while XLR and 1/4-inch jacks allow for balanced or unbalanced
analog I/O, and 24-bit conversion. It also includes MIDI in and out, software
programmable footswitch, as well as a direct input for guitars and other
high-impedance instruments.
Gold Line CeRTA PDA-Based RTA
www.gold-line.com
|

|
 |
The Gold Line CeRTA is a new PDA-based digital Real-Time Analyzer
(RTA) technology. Specifically, it provides PDAs running Microsoft
CE with professional level Real Time Analyzation (RTA). The unit’s
program has been optimized for the Compaq iPAQ-brand PDA but can
be run on other platforms.
CeRTA functions include a 4,096 point FFT analyzer, high-resolution
low/mid frequency analysis, weighted SPL and waterfall type displays
of decay. Other features include an internal sine wave and synchronized
pulse tone generator that replaces traditional pink noise sources.
A note recognition feature allows conversion of frequencies to
musical notes. Data can be stored to the PDA and then printed via
a hot-synchronized computer, or transmitted between devices using
the internal infrared port. Optional extras include factory calibration
curves and external microphones.

Mach Ballister Subwoofer
www.mach.dk
|

|
 |
The Ballister subwoofer from Mach is built around an 18-inch woofer
with four-inch voice coil and power handling of one kilowatt (AES).
This driver is rated as delivering 137 dB in the horn-loaded cabinet.
A symmetrical loading design helps air pressure remain uniform through
the cone area. For extra stability, the drive unit is mounted in
a 1.5-inch (36mm) thick mounting board.
The Ballister is designed as a half horn. When paired with a second
Ballister, it forms a double-sided horn with extended sub frequency
response and better throw. Wheels are integrated in the back of
the cabinet with a skid-lock system insuring safe stacking. The
cabinet is built of 13-ply hardwood. Speakon NL8 terminals with
link option are used.

MZH 3040 has a single flex point above the preamp and a non-bending
neck up to the capsule for a clean appearance. The system operates
on 12- to 48-volt phantom power and will be initially available
in black. The modular components are offered individually and as
part of value-added packages tailored for specific applications.
Initial accessories include windscreens, XLR table mounts and shock
mounts for permanent installation. Additional planned accessories
include dual-flex goosenecks, hanging options, floor stands and
more.

Sound Physics Labs SPL-triktrap Loudspeaker
www.soundphysicslabs.com
|

|
 |
Sound Physics Labs (SPL) has introduced the SPL-triktrap, a trapezoidal-shaped
loudspeaker with a “boundary-compliant” flexible box and offering
60- by 60-degree coverage. The unit comes in a compact package measuring
20 by 16 by 35.5 inches, with a weight of 106 pounds.
It includes four eight-inch direct-radiating low-frequency drivers
(two on either side of the horn) and four four-inch horn-loaded
mid-range drivers emanating from a one-inch high-frequency compression
driver at the back of the horn.
Frequency response is listed at 50 Hz to 18 kHz (+/-3 dB). Each
driver sums to a time correct rendering of its electrical input.
Six SPL-triktraps can be arrayed in a 360-degree cluster without
external processing. Cabinets are constructed of 13-ply Baltic Birch,
and a rugged Line-X truck bed liner is available as an option.

Turbosound QLight TQ-308SP Loudspeaker
www.turbosound.com
|

|
 |
The new Turbosound TQ-308SP is a two-way self-powered loudspeaker
and is the smallest model in the QLight Series to date. A single
eight-inch low-frequency driver is joined by a one-inch high-frequency
driver on a rotatable 100- by 60-degree Converging Elliptical Waveguide
(CEW). Maximum output power is rated at 350 watts on the LF and
65 watts into the compression driver. Maximum sound pressure level
peak handling is listed at 126 dB and frequency response is stated
as 68 Hz to 20 kHz (+/-4 dB).
The TQ-308SP’s integrated amplifier module includes active filters
and output limiters with status LEDs and gain control. Two discrete
limiter circuitry parts (high and low frequencies) allow the performance
of one frequency band to entirely ignore the early limiting of the
other. Weight is 33 pounds, and dimensions are 18-3/4 by 10-3/8
by 11-1/2 inches. The enclosure is constructed of birch plywood
and finished in black textured paint and includes mains on/off,
gain trim and one male and one female XLR connector each. The TQ-308SP’s
amplifier module is entirely self-contained and removable.
